Lili Viola
Lili has been a Pilates teacher for the past 15 years. She holds two certifications, her first one through Stott Pilates, and the second one through the award winning re:AB Authentic Pilates Teacher Training Program in New York City under the tutelage of 2nd Generation Teacher Brooke Siler. Lili is a 3rd Generation Teacher through the Romana Kryzanowska lineage.

Lili continues to take private lessons from, and participate in workshops with, some of the best teachers in the world, incuding 1st generation Master Teacher Jay Grimes, who studied directly under Joseph Pilates, 2nd generation teachers Peter Fiasca, David Freeman, Chris Robinson, Sean Gallagher, Sam Cotrone and Benjamin Degenhardt.

Lili is a wife, and mom to 3 kids and 1 dog.

 
Abby Gibbons
Abby has been teaching the Pilates method for over ten years. A former dancer, Abby began her Pilates teacher training in 2004 through Power Pilates in New York City under the tutelage of 2nd generation teachers Bob Liekens, and Susan Moran, and received her certification in 2005. In 2014, she completed her 2nd certification through the United States Pilates Association under the direction of 2nd Generation Teacher Brett Howard. Abby is a 3rd Generation Authentic Pilates Teacher.

Abby enjoys being creative with her lessons while challenging her clients to push themselves. Outside her love of Pilates, Abby is also pursuing a career as a make-up artist.

 
Julia Cabral
Julia has been in the fitness industry for 20 years. In 2000 she became a certified Aquafit instructor . With a wealth of experience in the specialized areas of Water Running, Aquatic personal training, Aquatic post-rehab (joint replacements, arthritic conditions and general injuries). Julia is currently completing her certification requirements in our teacher training program. She is apprenticing under Cara Hazelton of Authentic Pilates Canada, and Sean Gallgher of The New York Pilates Studio. Julia feels that Classicsl Pilates has something to offer everyBODY.
Shareen Woodford
Shareen is a fully certified Pilates teacher trained at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels on the mat, reformer, cadillac, stability chair, barrels and small props. She has additional training in injuries and special populations.

Shareen is also a renowned yoga teacher and yoga teacher trainer. She has led retreats and Yoga Teacher Training programs both locally and internationally. She travels regularly to India to study yoga asana, pranayama, philosophy, sanskrit and chanting with the world's best teachers and gurus.

She was a former dancer and gymnast, as well as a varsity competitive swimmer at the University of Toronto. She has copious and various experience in the world of fitness and athletics including over 18 years as a competitive swim coach (NCCP Level 3), swimming instructor, lifeguard and aquafitness instructor.

Her approach to teaching combines all of her areas of expertise. She shares with her students a genuine enjoyment of breath and movement, mind-body connection and always encourages safe and correct technique and athletic precision.

Tory Elbaz
Tory loves to share her love and appreciation of life, yoga and breathing with everyone. Originally trained in Vinyasa and Ashtanga style yoga, she enjoys teaching Vinyasa and Restorative flow yoga to small groups, accompanied by soft music and lots of reminders to breathe. She has also taken courses in Yin, Restorative, Thai Yoga Bliss, Aroma and Children's yoga. She is a total yoga geek who also enjoys PIlates, eating, and photography when she is not driving kids around, cooking, and doing yoga!
Juliet Swiggum
Juliet came late to yoga, and she appreciates it all the more for that! From her training and the experience of her own body, she understands the special needs of mid-life, in addition to being able to offer classes that challenge and inspire those of all ages and body types. Her sense of humour and love of teaching have brought ease and fun to her classes for the last 11 years.
Her Hatha and Kripalu Yoga classes are accessible but challenging. Her training in Mindfulness has brought her benefits she's eager to share, and she especially enjoys helping beginners find joy and competence in their own minds and bodies.
Stephanie Birtig
Originally from Ontario, Stephanie has been practicing Pilates for many years. She has recently moved back from New York City to attend Chiropractic school. With her background in dance and kinesiology she has integrated her passion for movement into her Pilates teaching. She sees Pilates as a way to build a strong foundation to excel at any movement and has used Pilates herself to prevent and recover from injuries. With her Classical Pilates training, Stephanie uses the system of Pilates with her clients to adapt to each unique body to ensure a safe and effective workout. Stephanie hopes her sessions are fun, safe, and work toward individual goals. She feels accomplished when her clients leave feeling sweaty!

Stephanie has a BA degree in Kinesiology and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario and has finished a 600 hour Classical Pilates teacher training program with Real Pilates in New York City.

Deirdre Caldarone
Deirdre has been teaching Pilates in Toronto for over 10 years. Originally from Boston, she completed her classical certification through Peak Pilates in 2003. She has also completed workshops with many renowned 2nd generation teachers.

Deirdre consistently draws upon and stays true to the original method developed by Joseph Pilates and strives to demonstrate that Pilates can complement other forms of exercise and prevent injury. Clients leave Deirdre's Pilates sessions feeling energized and invigorated.

In addition to teaching Pilates, Deirdre is a volunteer at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, a cooking enthusiast, a writer, a wife, and mother to three college-age students.

Yulia Braun
Yulia’s yoga practice is designed to give you a healthy mind and a flexible body. In her classes she focuses on mindfulness, body awareness, balance and strength.

Yulia was born in Russia, came to Canada after University and fell in love with yoga. She was attracted to yoga as a way to help her settle into her new life and her new home. She practiced different styles of yoga through the years and really enjoyed them.

In 2009 she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, she searched for ways to try and cope with the disease and found that yoga and mindfulness, are extremely beneficial to help manage the condition. At this point she started her journey of learning more about yoga and mindfulness. She took Toronto based Mindfulness courses and in 2012 enrolled in a two year intensive teacher training program at Esther Myers studio in Toronto.

She began to teach as she wanted to share these practices to help people and to make them feel better. Her approach is that yoga should be practiced with the understanding of every individuals anatomy and respect to their natural body alignment.
