Lili Viola
Lili has been a Pilates teacher for the past 15 years. Her first certification was through Stott Pilates, a contemporary derivative of the traditional system. In 2013 she was introduced to Classical Pilates and instantly felt the difference. She spent the next 18 months apprenticing under 2nd Generation Teacher, and best-selling author, Brooke Siler at her award-winning studio, re:AB Pilates, in NYC. In the spring of 2014 Lili became a 3rd Generation Certified Authentic Pilates Teacher. She also completed a 9-month intensive program with 2nd Generation Teacher Chris Robinson at his studio S6 Fitness in San Diego, CA. Lili continues to deepen her understanding of the work through lessons and workshops with some of the industry's most renown teachers, among these: Peter Fiasca, Sean Gallagher, Sam Cotrone, Benjamin Degenhardt, Saul Choza, and 1st Generation Teacher Jay Grimes, who studied under Joseph Pilates himself.

At the time Lili opened her studio in January 2014, it was the only studio in Toronto teaching Classical Pilates on Gratz apparatus. In June 2015 the studio moved to its current location to gain more space, and in September 2016 the studio expanded to occupy the full building, spanning 3 floors. Lili is in high demand, and even Hollywood celebrities have sought her out while filming in Toronto.

When not at the studio, Lili enjoys spending time with her husband, three kids, and dog. She loves to travel and experience the great outdoors.

Abby Gibbons

Abby has been teaching the Pilates method for over ten years. A former dancer, Abby began her Pilates teacher training in 2004 through Power Pilates in New York City under the tutelage of 2nd generation teachers Bob Liekens, and Susan Moran, and received her certification in 2005. In 2014, she completed her 2nd certification through the United States Pilates Association under the direction of 2nd Generation Teacher Brett Howard. Abby also completed a 9-month intensive with 2nd Generation Teacher Chris Robinson at S6 Fitness in San Diego, CA. Abby is a 3rd Generation Authentic Pilates Teacher.

Abby enjoys being creative with her lessons while challenging her clients to do and be their best. Outside her love of Pilates, Abby enjoys, fashion and make-up artistry.

Shareen Woodford
Shareen is certified in Stott Pilates but has been working through the classical system with Lili Viola. She is bridging to the classical system through our Teacher Training program.

Shareen is also a renowned yoga teacher and yoga teacher trainer, having led retreats and Yoga Teacher Training programs locally and internationally. She travels regularly to India to study yoga asana, pranayama, philosophy, sanskrit and chanting with the worlds best teachers and gurus.

Formerly a dancer and gymnast, as well as a varsity competitive swimmer at the University of Toronto, Shareen has copious and various experience in the world of fitness and athletics. Her approach to teaching combines all of her areas of experience and expertise. She shares with her students a genuine enjoyment of breath and movement, mind-body connection and always encourages safe and correct technique and athletic precision.

Tory Elbaz
Tory loves to share her love and appreciation of life, yoga and breathing with everyone. Originally trained in Vinyasa and Ashtanga style yoga, she enjoys teaching Vinyasa and Restorative flow yoga to small groups, accompanied by soft music and lots of reminders to breathe. She has also taken courses in Yin, Restorative, Thai Yoga Bliss, Aroma and Children's yoga. She is a total yoga geek who also enjoys PIlates, eating, and photography when she is not driving kids around, cooking, and doing yoga!
Juliet Swiggum
Juliet came late to yoga, and she appreciates it all the more for that! From her training and the experience of her own body, she understands the special needs of mid-life, in addition to being able to offer classes that challenge and inspire those of all ages and body types. Her sense of humour and love of teaching have brought ease and fun to her classes for the last 11 years.
Her Hatha and Kripalu Yoga classes are accessible but challenging. Her training in Mindfulness has brought her benefits she's eager to share, and she especially enjoys helping beginners find joy and competence in their own minds and bodies.
Stephanie Birtig
Originally from Ontario, Stephanie has been practicing Pilates for many years. She has recently moved back to Toronto from New York City to attend Chiropractic school. With her background in dance and kinesiology she has integrated her passion for movement into her Pilates teaching. She sees Pilates as a way to build a strong foundation to excel at any movement and has used Pilates herself to prevent and recover from injuries. With her Classical Pilates training, Stephanie uses the system of Pilates with her clients to adapt to each unique body to ensure a safe and effective workout. Stephanie hopes her sessions are fun, safe, and work toward individual goals. She feels accomplished when her clients leave feeling sweaty!

Stephanie has a BA degree in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario; she is a graduate of Alycea Ungaro's Real Pilates Teacher Training in NYC.

Yulia Braun
Yulia’s yoga practice is designed to give you a healthy mind and a flexible body. In her classes she focuses on mindfulness, body awareness, balance and strength.

Yulia was born in Russia, came to Canada after University and fell in love with yoga. She was attracted to yoga as a way to help her settle into her new life and her new home. She practiced different styles of yoga through the years and really enjoyed them.

In 2009 she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, she searched for ways to try and cope with the disease and found that yoga and mindfulness, are extremely beneficial to help manage the condition. At this point she started her journey of learning more about yoga and mindfulness. She took Toronto based Mindfulness courses and in 2012 enrolled in a two year intensive teacher training program at Esther Myers studio in Toronto.

She began to teach as she wanted to share these practices to help people and to make them feel better. Her approach is that yoga should be practiced with the understanding of every individuals anatomy and respect to their natural body alignment.

Leah Barbaro
Dr. Leah Barbaro graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She completed an internship at St. Michael’s Family Health Team, CMCC and an externship done at Total Rehab Clinic in Ajax. She also has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University, where she was a sports therapist. There she worked with a variety of athletes including the Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s Rugby and Men’s Football Teams and eventually headed up the sports therapy program.

Leah is certified in Contemporary Neurofunctional Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University, Standard First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid. She has also completed Integrated Therapeutics and Integrated Patterning courses through the Integrated Seminar Series, as well as Exercise Muscle Testing through SWIS.

Dr. Barbaro has a variety of interests including treatment of sport, work and overuse injuries. Her experience has included treating headaches, back pain, neck pain, TMJ dysfunction and many other neuro-musculoskeletal disorders. Leah believes in a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach to patient centred care. She uses a diverse clinical approach to treatment which combines traditional chiropractic care with acupuncture, cupping, athletic taping, instrumented assisted soft tissue therapy, myofascial release techniques and exercise therapy. Patient education is also a key component to her treatment, empowering patients to lead healthy active lives.

Neetu White
Neetu's love for Classical Pilates began as a university student in Ottawa trying to reach for those long lean muscles with Mari Winsor and her groundbreakings DVDs. Neetu's drive for Pilates to become a major part of her life started in 2008 when she spent a year in Virginia and trained with Lilia Browning, a Romana Certified Teacher 3 times a week. Classical Pilates opened up a world of focused exercise which gave her the results she was looking for and strength she has always craved. After having her second child in 2015, Lili Viola re-ignited Neetu's love for Pilates and helped her get into the best shape of her life.
Helping people is Neetu's calling. Sharing the Pilates Method to help people achieve their goals puts a smile on her face. Neetu's wonderful husband Adam and her two little boys, Milo & Kai keep that smile going.
Lisa Naprawa
Lisa is a skilled relationship manager and public speaker. After a successful career as an Account Executive for Fortune 500 companies she followed her passion for Pilates, health and wellness and nine years ago started her own fitness business, Positive Transformations. She is passionate about helping her client’s lead proactive healthy happy lives. She helps her clients make Positive Transformations through personalized functional fitness, boot camps and fitness classes, Pilates instruction, balance training, transformational coaching and consulting to define the steps they need to take in order to reach the heights and happiness they want to achieve. She is Stott Pilates trained in Mat Pilates and in Special Populations and Rehabilitation. She is a certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Fitness Professionals and certified as an Older Adult Specialist. She is presently completing her Classical Pilates Certification with Lili Viola Pilates.

Lisa is a skilled communicator and coach who trained with the Coaches Training Institute. She completed the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management, Women in Business Initiative Program. Her speaking engagements include presentations to private schools, corporate boards, banks, financial advisors and their clients and retirement communities.

Lisa is a Board Director of the Beaumaris Yacht Club and serves as Secretary of the Beaumaris Land Company. She has served as President and is currently Treasurer of the Greenwood College School Parents Association.

Jonathan Dunkelman
Jonathan is currently in our teacher-training program and is enthusiastic to begin his teaching career in classical pilates at our studio.

Jonathan is a professional artist whose work is available at the AGO Sales and Rental Gallery. He spent many years training in karate-do under Sensei Burt Konzak at the Toronto Academy of Karate and Fitness.

Through Karate-Do Jonathan has taught many people of all ages including a women’s self defense class at the University of Toronto Athletic Centre.

Brianne Wieler
After years of competitive horseback riding, Brianne found her way to yoga as a way to heal her aching body and combat chronic illness. She quickly discovered that a dedicated practice and meditation allowed her to find her way to a healthy and joyful life, and opened the door to a community and calling that have enriched her life immeasurably. Brianne completed yoga teacher training in the Hatha tradition in 2014 and continues to study alignment, therapeutics, philosophy, breath work and meditation - in particular, in the Anusara and Ashaya schools of yoga. With gratitude, Brianne acknowledges her principle teachers: Shirlee Williams, Cynthia Cooperstone, Michael Siddall and Todd Norian. Under their influence, she has developed a style of teaching that is playful, heart-oriented, and grounded in precise and proven alignment principles.
Siobhan Donnelly
Siobhan is a professionally trained ballet dancer who graduated from Canada's National Ballet School and was first introduced to Pilates while a boarding student there. Siobhan danced and trained around the world until her dance career was cut short by a hip injury. 
Siobhan is presently the owner and director of the York School of Dance established in 2001, where she also teaches children in the Lawrence Park Community classical ballet.
Siobhan is passionate about passing on, not only a technical dance foundation to her students, but also a joy within the movement itself. 
Siobhan is currently completing her Classical Pilates Teacher Training program at Lili Viola Pilates under the guidance of second generation teacher Chris Robinson and third generation teacher Lili Viola. Her time as a dancer formed a strong mind body foundation which translates well to her current path within the Joseph Pilates method. Siobhan hopes her students take away from her classes an increased confidence to move in harmony with their bodies, and that they continue to build a strong core and body connection. 
Siobhan is thrilled to be a part of Team LVP and work at such a vibrant studio in the neighbourhood, where she lives with her husband and two teenage children.
